Having cerebral palsy and also being part of the LGBTQ+ community presents some special challenges, and you can read here about having cerebral palsy and being LGBTQ+. Being the parent of a special needs child also comes with challenges beyond the usual difficulties of parenting, and if teh child is part of the LGBTQ+ community, there may be even more challenges. Some members of the LGBTQ+ community are at higher risk for anal cancer, and simple screening tests can save lives. You can call Englewood Health at 201-608-2800 to schedule a screening and most major health insurances are accepted.
